Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative will be key in generating new business for Deputy by targeting strategic segments. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to execute outbound strategies and support pipeline generation for Account Executives (AEs) focused on SMB and Mid-Market sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate proactive sourcing and qualification of prospects in target industries to build pipeline and generate qualified opportunities for AMER sales teams.
- Engage potential clients using diverse channels including calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts, and live chats to create new business possibilities.
- Conduct qualification calls to assess leads and determine hand-off readiness to AEs.
- Demonstrate attentive listening to understand customer needs and effectively articulate Deputy’s superior solutions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records for seamless transition to Account Executives.
- Consistently reach quota targets that drive company revenue.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum one year of quota-carrying sales experience in a SaaS company as an inbound SDR or similar, with proven results and ambition to advance a sales career.
- Strong team collaboration skills and ability to perform effectively in group settings.
- Excellent ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident phone presence and interpersonal interactions.
- Passion for impactful work and goal-oriented teamwork.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm about technology and capability to clearly convey value propositions to clients.
- Inquisitive nature with drive to understand deeper motivations.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement platforms like Outreach, Sales Navigator, and Cognism.
- Experience in startup or people technology sectors is an advantage.
