Overview
As a Business Development Representative at Sage, you will engage directly with owners of small and medium-sized enterprises who might be unfamiliar with our offerings. Your role is pivotal in initiating engaging conversations that introduce potential clients to Sage's cutting-edge software solutions. This position suits candidates with experience in lead management, familiarity with sales frameworks like BANT or SPIN, and the desire to excel in objection handling while cultivating a personal sales pipeline.
Work Arrangement
This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring presence at our Newcastle office three days per week.
About the Product
The products you will champion integrate long-standing expertise with advanced technologies such as Sage AI, designed to simplify and enhance customers' workflows, resulting in high customer satisfaction.
Compensation and Growth
We offer a compensation package comprised of a base salary plus commissions, with no cap on earnings, reflecting our commitment to reward excellent performance. The role serves as a foundation for advancement to roles like Account Executive or leadership positions, with proven pathways for career progression within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a thorough onboarding program to build confidence and skills as a BDR.
- Engage in extensive outbound prospecting daily, using calls, emails, LinkedIn messaging, and other innovative methods to connect with potential customers.
- Handle frequent rejections professionally, focusing on building meaningful and supportive customer relationships.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in roles involving lead generation in sales.
- Basic knowledge and application of sales methodologies such as BANT or SPIN.
- Demonstrated ability to handle objections effectively with concrete examples.
