Job description

Position Overview

The role of Sales Coordinator at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts involves managing administrative and sales support tasks to facilitate the sales and marketing functions. The position is non-management and based in Doha, Qatar, requiring full-time onsite work at The Pearl Island.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle general clerical tasks to assist the Sales & Marketing department such as filing, emailing, typing, faxing, and copying.
  • Prepare a variety of sales documents including proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders throughout the sales cycle.
  • Help boost the brand image both internally and externally through communication and materials preparation.
  • Compile and organize information packages like brochures and promotional materials.
  • Apply sales strategies intending to increase revenue while retaining guest loyalty to Marriott.
  • Manage data entry, retrieval, reconciliation, and verification of information like commissions, leads, and third-party details using sales software.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel facilities, rates, room types, packages, special events, and dining options.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients via phone and email, addressing questions and fulfilling requests.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, uphold professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and safeguard company assets.
  • Welcome and recognize guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs, and express gratitude sincerely.
  • Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing, ensuring accuracy and completeness in documentation and telephone etiquette.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve collective goals and effectively handle feedback from employees.
  • Follow quality assurance standards and perform light physical tasks such as moving items up to 10 pounds.
  • Carry out any additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in a related role is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience or licenses/certifications are necessary.
