Kitchen Stewarding Executive

About the Role

The Kitchen Stewarding Executive will oversee and support the stewarding team to optimize cleaning efficiency. Responsibilities include monitoring water temperature and chemical levels for proper sanitation, assisting in banquet operations, aiding kitchen staff with various tasks, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of kitchen and banquet areas. The role also involves operating and maintaining dishwashers and other cleaning equipment, and managing stock transport for banquets and buffets.

Leadership and Compliance

This position requires assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching team members to enhance performance. The executive must enforce all company policies, safety, and security protocols, report incidents promptly, complete requisite safety training, and ensure a professional personal appearance. Upholding confidentiality and protecting company assets are essential.

Guest Interaction and Teamwork

Welcoming guests with professionalism, anticipating their needs, communicating clearly, and fostering positive relationships within the team to achieve shared objectives are key expectations. The executive must ensure adherence to quality standards consistently.

Physical Requirements

The job involves physical activities such as moving items up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing or walking, bending, twisting, and navigating varying floor surfaces. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• One year of supervisory experience
• No specific licenses or certifications are required
