Job Overview

This role focuses on boosting store sales by providing exceptional customer service, effectively promoting products, and supporting fundamental optical knowledge to ensure a seamless and professional experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, including frames, sunglasses, and basic lenses.
• Promote sales through conversion, upselling, cross-selling, and execution of promotional campaigns.
• Meet individual sales goals and contribute to overall store performance.
• Offer a welcoming and professional experience throughout the customer journey.
• Manage customer queries and basic concerns efficiently.
• Establish strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Comprehend basic optical prescriptions and product categories such as frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
• Assist opticians by directing customers prior to specialized handling.
• Effectively communicate customer requirements to opticians or technicians.
• Accurately complete sales transactions using the POS system.
• Support processing of insurance paperwork and answer fundamental questions.
• Adhere to company protocols and procedures at all times.
• Maintain quality product displays and cleanliness standards in the store.
• Help manage stock, including reporting shortages or issues.
• Stay informed on product knowledge and current promotions.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store objectives.
• Assist opticians and technicians during busy periods.
• Contribute positively to an energetic store atmosphere.
• Act in a professional and ethical manner consistent with company values.
• Ensure customer service and brand standards are strictly followed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the job's scope.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven sales expertise along with excellent customer service abilities.
• Basic knowledge of optical merchandise and prescriptions.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail sales workflows.
• Strong communication and interpersonal talents.
• Capability to work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet targets.
• Experience of 2 to 4 years in retail sales, preferably in the optical sector.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a related discipline.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic.
