About the Role

As a Runner at Soho House Brighton, you are an essential part of the team, ensuring smooth coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. Your primary duty is to efficiently convey food and beverage orders to members, helping to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Additionally, you maintain the tidiness and organisation of service areas to uphold high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly deliver food from the kitchen and drinks from the bar to members' tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all working environments.
• Manage and provide dedicated service within an assigned section.
• Build meaningful connections with members for personalized service.
• Polish cutlery and prepare table accompaniments such as lemon wraps, condiments, and butter portions in advance.
• Perform station set-up and break-down during opening and closing routines.
• Handle service equipment with care and store it appropriately.
• Attend regular briefings with front and back of house teams to stay informed on menu updates, specials, and participate in tastings.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in premium dining environments.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine etiquette.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, proactive attitude.
• Confident, polished presence with professional demeanour.
• Competent with POS systems and reservation software.
