Overview
Join Travelex, a global leader in foreign exchange with over 1,100 stores worldwide, as a Roster Coordinator based at Sydney International Airport. In this critical role, you will oversee comprehensive roster planning and daily workforce coordination for a retail network spanning 13+ locations and 60+ team members. Your efforts will ensure optimal staffing aligned with flight schedules, passenger volumes, and trading demands, directly contributing to seamless business operations, employee satisfaction, and enhanced customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end preparation, coordination, and publication of accurate and compliant airport rosters.
- Collaborate with the Airport Leadership Team to identify and implement roster efficiencies and optimize resource allocation.
- Interpret flight schedules and passenger forecasts to develop effective staffing plans for multiple stores and trading periods.
- Maintain up-to-date workforce plans reflecting current operational needs.
- Monitor adherence to contracted hours and roster compliance in accordance with Enterprise and Collective Agreements, addressing any variances.
- Publish rosters at least three months ahead of schedule.
- Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure precise timekeeping through Definitiv.
- Manage team roster requests, availability, leave, and shift changes, balancing business requirements and employee needs.
- Address timesheet queries promptly and work to minimize store closures.
- Provide frontline Sales Consultant support when necessary to assist with counter coverage and maintain customer service standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in rostering, workforce planning, or coordinating teams across multiple locations.
- Proficiency with rostering and workforce planning software such as Definitive, Kronos, or Human Force.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Capacity to make effective decisions swiftly in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong relationship-building skills to manage team requests effectively and collaborate with leadership.
