Room Attendant - Housekeeping

Role Overview

As a Room Attendant at our hotel, your role extends beyond maintaining cleanliness; you bring warmth and memorable hospitality to each guest's experience by ensuring their rooms are pristine and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and organize designated guest rooms daily, including bed-making, bathroom sanitation, dusting, vacuuming, and performing deep cleans when required.
• Restock linens such as towels and bed sheets, as well as guest amenities and essentials consistently.
• Handle and organize housekeeping supplies efficiently, keeping the supply carts well-stocked and ready for use.
• Provide timely and courteous responses to any guest requests or inquiries.
• Properly manage waste by disposing of trash and recyclables in the appropriate locations.
• Prepare rooms before cleaning, secure rooms post-cleaning, and monitor hotel property within the work area.
• Conduct specialized cleaning tasks, including steam cleaning carpets and thorough spring cleanings according to schedule.
• Deliver and collect items lent to guests, and ensure guest room security and privacy at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as corridors and closets, including dusting, polishing furniture, and aligning furniture according to the floor plan.
• Inspect and replace bathrobes and other amenities that are soiled or damaged.
• Accurately update room status post-cleaning and restock supply carts at shift completion.
• Follow standard operating procedures consistently and strive to exceed guest satisfaction expectations.
• Handle guest complaints professionally to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Assist with other duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to prepare and enter guest rooms for comprehensive cleaning services.
• Experience in dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, closets, and handling linens.
• Strong attention to detail ensuring high standards of hygiene and room presentation.
• Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests and handle guest requests promptly.
• Knowledge of hotel operations and local area to assist guests accurately with inquiries.
• Capability to carry out rotation cleaning duties like steam cleaning and spring cleaning.
• Commitment to safeguarding guest privacy and hotel property security.
• Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and manage supplies and waste disposal.
