Position Overview

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring guest rooms and public areas assigned are impeccably clean, hygienic, and comfortable. This role contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the hotel’s reputation.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms including stripping and making beds with fresh linens, sanitizing bathrooms, and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Maintain floor cleanliness by vacuuming carpets and sweeping and mopping hard floor surfaces in rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Replenish bathroom amenities such as soap, shampoo, towels, as well as refreshments including coffee, tea, and minibar supplies based on brand standards.
• Conduct room inspections to identify damages, burnt-out lightbulbs, or malfunctioning appliances, and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Politely interact with guests to accommodate requests for additional items like towels or pillows and handle lost-and-found items according to protocol.
• Manage and organize housekeeping cleaning carts and linen closets at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure proper inventory control.
