NH Collection Ibn Battuta Hotel, part of a renowned network of hotels known for their distinctive architectural landmarks and eclectic-elegant ambiance across multiple regions worldwide, is looking for a committed Steward in Dubai, UAE. Our hotels specialize in delivering exceptional experiences to business travelers, friends, and couples, emphasizing wellbeing, culture, gastronomy, and indulgence.

Key Responsibilities

• Sanitize and clean all kitchen tools including utensils, pots, pans, and equipment, ensuring strict hygiene.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and workstations to uphold sanitation standards.
• Operate dishwashing machinery responsibly and ensure it functions correctly.
• Manage disposal of trash and recyclables efficiently and correctly.
• Keep track of cleaning agents and supplies; report shortages promptly.
• Support kitchen and service teams by setting up and dismantling buffet or banquet arrangements.
• Adhere to safety regulations and proper handling of chemicals as per hotel policies.
• Organize and store cleaned dishes appropriately to avoid damage or breakage.
• Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks like oven cleaning and grease trap maintenance.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and a tidy workspace.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of high school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in stewarding or dishwashing roles within hotels or restaurants is beneficial.
• Basic awareness of kitchen hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Knowledge of chemical safety and proper handling procedures.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items and remain on feet for long durations.
• Detail-oriented with a dedication to maintaining cleanliness.
• Strong team collaboration skills coupled with a positive demeanor.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
