Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Rig Manager to oversee multiple offshore jack-up drilling rigs from an onshore operational center in Eastern Saudi Arabia. This full-time position reports to the Operations Director and involves leading safe, efficient, and cost-conscious drilling activities across assigned rigs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational management for multiple jack-up rigs offshore.
- Collaborate closely with Offshore Installation Managers to maintain rig safety, operational efficiency, and meet performance goals.
- Monitor and control drilling schedules, budgets, and key performance indicators to minimize downtime and optimize output.
- Conduct daily operational assessments, risk analyses, and incident investigations alongside rig crews and HSE teams.
- Ensure adherence to environmental standards, HSE policies, and industry best practices.
- Oversee logistics, including personnel transfer and material supply between onshore and offshore locations.
- Review and authorize maintenance plans, drilling documentation, and financial reports.
- Support project planning and coordinate execution of new wells, rig moves, and workovers.
- Work in conjunction with engineering, geoscience, and supply chain departments to ensure seamless drilling operations.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies and share lessons learned among rigs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in offshore drilling with a minimum of 2 years in a Rig Manager or Senior Drilling Supervisor capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of jack-up rig operations and well control techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing diverse teams across multiple offshore assets.
- Thorough understanding of offshore HSE regulations, API standards, and global drilling codes.
- Competency in interpreting drilling programs and technical reports.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with drilling management software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Possession of valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification at Supervisor Level.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based role with occasional offshore visits required.
