Role Overview

The Retail Merchandiser plays a vital role in ensuring travel centers and plazas are well-stocked, organized, and offer a welcoming environment. This position involves delivering quick, courteous service, maintaining clean facilities, assisting customers promptly, managing vendor relationships and inventory flow, promoting sales through merchandising, and leveraging sales reports for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized and fully stocked travel center and plaza shelves
  • Provide friendly, fast service and uphold cleanliness standards
  • Respond promptly to customer needs
  • Oversee vendor coordination and inventory management
  • Merchandise promotional and value products to boost sales
  • Analyze and apply information from key sales reports to enhance performance

Qualifications

Required:

  • Outstanding customer service capabilities aligned with a guest-focused culture
  • Competence in organizing and stocking merchandise
  • Proficiency with computers, phones, and operational equipment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Preferred:

  • Previous retail or related job experience
  • Willingness and ability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
