Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the UAE's first integrated resort, set to launch in 2027. Located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah, the resort will feature 1,530 guest rooms and suites, 22 dining venues including restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, a beach club, various swimming pools, a luxury spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and an events and celebrations center.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Retail Cashier to join our retail team, responsible for delivering premium checkout experiences and handling a variety of high-end merchandise.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly and professionally, ensuring a smooth and personalized checkout experience aligned with Wynn’s five-star service standards.
• Accurately and efficiently process various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and room charges, maintaining discretion.
• Carefully manage premium, artisanal, perishable, and valuable retail products with precise knowledge and attention.
• Provide knowledgeable product suggestions on specialized items, gifts, luxury essentials, and resort merchandise to enhance guests’ shopping experience.
• Keep the checkout area, nearby displays, shelves, refrigerators, and grab-and-go sections impeccably tidy and well-stocked, presenting merchandise attractively.
• Regularly monitor product freshness, expiry dates, pricing accuracy, and overall presentation, removing or reporting items that do not meet Wynn’s high-quality standards.
• Replenish, rotate, and reset merchandise displays throughout shifts to maintain a flawless retail environment.
• Manage cash float responsibly, perform till counts and balances, reconcile transactions, and immediately report any inconsistencies following company protocols.
• Encourage participation in loyalty programs, promote gift cards, and highlight signature or curated daily products using a soft sales approach.
• Deliver proactive service by suggesting complementary products, packaging purchases elegantly, and using guest names when appropriate to exceed expectations.
• Assist with stock rotation, labeling, deliveries, inventory counts, and product handling while adhering to food safety, hygiene, and storage guidelines as applicable.
• Comply with all policies related to loss prevention, cash handling, security, health and safety, UAE retail regulations, and food handling, reflecting the resort's standards.
• Exhibit an exceptional guest-service mindset: discreet, thoughtful, warm, and attentive.
• Maintain a polished, well-groomed appearance consistent with luxury retail, hospitality, and fine food standards.
• Operate efficiently and calmly, especially during peak periods, without sacrificing service quality.
• Pursue product knowledge eagerly and confidently recommend resort-focused and premium specialty items.
• Show meticulous accuracy and integrity when dealing with cash, merchandise, guest accounts, and food-related goods.
• Be a dependable team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on attitude.
• Demonstrate flexibility for rotating shifts, early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Be physically capable of standing for long durations and assisting with restocking, including chilled, frozen, fragile, or premium merchandise.

Candidate Profile

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional training in hospitality, retail, or customer service is advantageous.
• Between 1 and 2 years of experience performing cashier or retail duties, preferably in luxury retail, premium convenience stores, gourmet food, food and beverage, or five-star hospitality settings.
• Competent use of POS systems, barcode scanners, weighing scales, payment terminals, and basic transaction reconciliation.
• Possession of a valid food-handler or basic food hygiene certification is beneficial; training may be provided if needed.
• Strong numerical skills, attention to detail in cash handling, and transactional accuracy.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic, Russian, Hindi, or Mandarin is highly valued due to the international guest base.
