Position Overview
POP MART seeks a Retail Assistant Manager to join the team at Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills, Ontario. This vital leadership role supports the Store Manager in overseeing all facets of store operations, ensuring outstanding customer experiences, and nurturing a motivated, skilled team. The Assistant Manager will act as the Manager on Duty in the Store Manager's absence, fostering a vibrant, customer-first atmosphere that aligns with POP MART's unique brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and retain a dynamic sales team.
- Guide and inspire Brand Associates and Sales Leads through constructive coaching and recognition.
- Create an inclusive and collaborative work environment emphasizing customer satisfaction.
- Take charge as Manager on Duty, making operational and service decisions to enhance store performance.
- Lead onboarding and continuous development programs for team members.
- Drive superior customer engagement directly on the sales floor, building excitement around POP MART's exclusive product lines.
- Handle customer feedback professionally to foster long-term loyalty.
- Support achieving sales targets and KPIs such as sales figures, conversion rates, units per transaction, average transaction value, payroll efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
- Examine business metrics to pinpoint growth opportunities and implement improvement strategies.
- Manage daily store functions including opening, closing, cash handling, safety, and adherence to company policies and loss prevention measures.
- Ensure the store remains organized, clean, and safe for customers and staff alike.
- Coordinate scheduling, task assignments, and operational execution efficiently.
- Maintain precise inventory oversight including shipments, restocking, transfers, and stockroom organization.
- Execute visual merchandising plans and marketing campaigns by installing planograms, signage, and seasonal displays.
- Participate as a brand ambassador staying well-informed about POP MART's products and community initiatives.
- Support special events such as product launches, pop-up activations, conventions, and new store openings.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years in retail leadership or supervisory positions.
- Proven skills in team leadership, coaching, and development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, customer service excellence, and business analytics.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service experiences.
- Interest or enthusiasm for designer toys, collectibles, or pop culture is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience analyzing business data to develop impactful action plans.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to function independently with sound decision-making under a fast-paced retail environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $23.20 to $28.20, adjusted by location following applicable labor laws.

Physical Requirements
- Capability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during shifts.
