Position Overview

As Retail Assistant Manager at the Maine Mall location, you will play a key leadership role in enhancing customer experiences, managing store operations, and supporting the Store Manager. This role involves coaching and leading store staff, fostering a customer-first environment, and ensuring operational excellence aligned with POP MART's brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and retain a motivated retail team.
• Lead and inspire Brand Associates and Sales Leads through continuous coaching and recognition.
• Establish and maintain a collaborative and inclusive culture centered on customer satisfaction.
• Function as Manager on Duty during Store Manager absences, overseeing operational and customer service decisions.
• Deliver superior customer service by leading from the sales floor and generating enthusiasm for POP MART's unique products and collaborations.
• Handle customer concerns professionally to build lasting loyalty.
• Work with the Store Manager to meet sales targets and key performance indicators, including sales volume, conversion rates, units per transaction, average transaction value, payroll efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
• Analyze business data to identify opportunities and implement strategies to boost performance and engagement.
• Manage daily store operations such as opening/closing, cash handling, safety compliance, and adhere to company policies to prevent loss.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, accurate inventory management, and efficient stockroom organization.
• Execute visual merchandising according to POP MART standards, adapting displays based on inventory and sales trends.
• Serve as a knowledgeable brand ambassador, supporting in-store events, launches, and community engagement activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of two years' experience in retail leadership roles involving supervision or management.
• Proven expertise in coaching, developing, and leading successful retail teams.
• Strong grasp of retail operations, customer experience strategies, and performance metrics.
• Passion for creating outstanding customer interactions.
• Interest in designer toys, collectibles, art, anime, gaming, fashion, or pop culture is highly advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
• Ability to analyze and act on business metrics effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Independent decision-making skills and adaptability.
• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Additional Information and Terms

• Physical requirements include extended standing and walking during shifts, and frequently bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders or stools for stocking and retrieving merchandise.
• Capability to regularly handle merchandise up to 25 pounds in weight.
• Salary range is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, varying by location and candidate qualifications.
