Overview

As a Retail Assistant Manager at Staples Canada in Brandon, Manitoba, you will play a key role in driving operational and sales excellence to ensure outstanding experiences for both customers and team members. Key Responsibilities

• Guide and coach your team to deliver superior customer service, engage customers with personalized product recommendations, and manage escalated issues to enhance long-term customer relationships, especially with business clientele.
• Lead your sales team with motivation and recognition, creating an uplifting culture where Sales Associates can perform their best. Analyze sales metrics to develop action plans to meet business goals.
• Recruit, onboard, and nurture associates’ growth through continuous coaching, feedback, and performance management focused on career development.
• Maintain operational standards ensuring adherence to Health & Safety, Asset Protection, Privacy policies, as well as managing inventory, merchandising, and brand consistency.
• Communicate daily with your team to ensure consistent application of sales strategies and customer engagement tools.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Two to three years of retail management experience with accountability for sales and service targets.
• Proven skills in coaching, developing talent, and managing teams with a strong focus on customer service and sales growth.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication abilities that inspire and engage others.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
