Overview
Join a locally owned, community-focused store to deliver health, beauty, and convenience services while prioritizing the customer experience.
Role Summary
Support the Front Store Manager (FSM) by managing store personnel, physical assets, and financial resources to meet store goals, emphasizing the seamless flow of products from storage to sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain store standards consistently to enhance customer experience and increase foot traffic and profitability.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure 100% adherence to store standards, including the backroom area.
- Assist with labor scheduling using Work Force Management tools to optimize productivity.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for smooth business operations.
Human Resource Duties
- Follow all Human Resources policies and standards.
- Partner with the FSM to recruit and hire personnel for all departments except Pharmacy.
- Manage wage administration complying with SLPH guidelines.
- Promote company culture, engage staff, and lead by example according to core values.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong planning and inventory management abilities.
- Sound judgment and decision-making, especially regarding expense control.
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing employees.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Effective organizational and strategic planning capabilities.
- Previous retail management experience.
- Ability to drive business results while supporting corporate initiatives.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Business and financial insight.
- Capability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
