Merchandiser - Full-Time Hourly Position (Day Shift)

Role Overview

Become a valued member of a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, contributing to the delivery of health, beauty, and convenient services while prioritizing exceptional customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organized backroom inventory following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) standards.
• Utilize PDT and MMS systems daily to manage product information and support store processes.
• Oversee Exit Strategy implementation and product returns as assigned.
• Possess expert knowledge of specific product inventory, optimal placement, and expiry management.
• Ensure store appearance aligns with company standards and current retail trends.
• Create consumer-friendly and attractive product displays that enhance shopping experiences.
• Receive merchandise according to company policies and maintain proper documentation for incoming and returned goods.
• Support management in upholding quality standards throughout the store.
• Present a clean and professional image consistent with uniform and dress code policies.
• Engage proactively with customers on the sales floor, offering assistance as needed.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, store standards, and loss prevention policies.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support store operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong skills in planning, exercising judgment, and making decisions.
• Demonstrated efficiency, organization, and attention to detail.
• Capability to adapt to dynamic retail floor situations.
• Cash handling skills, if applicable, with accuracy in processing transactions.
• Basic computer and cash register operation experience.
• Well-developed organizational skills including record keeping.
• Ability to work independently with self-motivation.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Must be flexible to work shifts that may include evenings and weekends.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to climb ladders.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $17.60 to $20.85, with consideration of candidate experience and geographic factors.
