Job Overview
As a Retail Sales Supervisor at Staples Canada in Whitby, Ontario, you will lead store teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive sales growth, and maintain operational standards. Your leadership will be pivotal in supporting associates to provide solutions-driven service and nurture lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and coach the team on a customer-focused selling approach to achieve high performance and sales results.
- Maximize sales opportunities by actively assisting customers and effectively promoting flyer and promotional offers.
- Develop a culture of continuous learning by adopting and sharing knowledge of new products, trends, and services.
- Ensure the store operates smoothly by upholding health and safety, loss prevention practices, and brand standards.
- Serve as a keyholder, managing the safe opening and closing of the store and overseeing administrative tasks such as payroll and timekeeping.
- Lead training efforts to foster associate development and support ongoing learning initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years retail sales experience, ideally with direct involvement in technology sales.
- Preferred 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity with responsibility for meeting sales and service objectives.
- Strong communication skills that motivate both customers and team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing priorities and multitasking effectively.
