Job Overview

We are seeking a warm and professional Restaurant Hostess to welcome and seat guests at the Turquoise Restaurant. The role involves managing table reservations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting various operational tasks to maintain the high standards of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage telephone reservations and keep the booking system organized.
• Prepare tables and displays for service.
• Maintain and update the guest information database accurately.
• Adhere to and implement Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) and hotel standards in all guest interactions.
• Address guest complaints promptly when possible and report issues to supervisory staff.
• Participate in training sessions led by Departmental Trainer or management to maintain service excellence.
• Ensure all outlet reports are completed on time and are well-maintained.
• Assist service staff during high-demand periods in various areas including section holding, coffee station, and preparation tasks.
• Keep hostess station and surrounding areas clean and organized, including menus.
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Prepare and manage operational materials in the back office.
• Comply with safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies at all times.
• Present bills and perform cashier duties as necessary.
• Manage guest flow to optimize restaurant turnover.
• Ensure readiness of the restaurant before opening, including staff and table preparation aligned with standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by hotel management.
• Support operations of other Food & Beverage outlets during peak periods as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum secondary education completed.
• At least one year of experience in hotel Food & Beverage services.
• Proficient in English with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Knowledge of an additional language such as Russian or Arabic is advantageous.
• Professional appearance and grooming.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with guests.
• Computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge within the team.
