Role Overview
The Resourcing Advisor is tasked with creating precise and efficient staff rosters within the designated scheduling period. This role manages forward planning to reduce last-minute shift changes that increase operating expenses. Utilizing forecasts supplied collaboratively by the Resourcing Manager and Finance Business Partner, the Advisor ensures labor scheduling aligns with operational demand.
Positions are available as both permanent roles and fixed-term contracts for 12 months.
Primary Responsibilities
- Draft, consult on, update, and finalize rosters to satisfy departmental staffing requirements.
- Handle leave requests within the planning timeframe, ensuring coverage needs are met and updating rosters accordingly.
- Schedule foreign national employees compliant with visa work restrictions and corresponding documentation.
- Manage team member submissions such as shift swaps, leave applications, and roster requests during the planning window.
- Create and maintain accurate employee profiles, roles, and location settings in the Virtual Roster system.
- Ensure pay cycle data is precise and up to date.
- Offer expert guidance and recommendations to department managers to foster optimized rosters and implement best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning or rostering environments.
- Proficient with advanced Excel functionalities.
- Resourceful with strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing effectively and meeting competing deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective and professional communication abilities with senior leadership.
- Familiarity with Virtual Roster software or analogous rostering tools.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and planning capabilities.
