Job description
Overview
This position involves developing and maintaining the resource schedule for Dubai Metro & Tram operations, ensuring adherence to Resource Planning Procedures in line with HR, QHSE policies, and UAE Labour Law.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review resource efficiency for assigned sections, guaranteeing compliance with Fatigue Management standards.
- Maintain accurate staffing data, including availability and overtime, updating relevant sections regularly.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure overtime claims are correctly submitted, processed, and compensated.
- Engage with assigned departments routinely to facilitate smooth operations.
- Foster a strong culture of QHSE and Information Security among colleagues, subcontractors, and third parties.
- Formulate and update resource schedules that optimize normal and contingency services meeting operational and maintenance needs and performance targets.
- Enforce strict compliance with Resource Planning Procedures.
- Ensure production can implement service standards effectively.
- Develop operational rosters that comply with commercial, operational, and safety requirements.
- Confirm adequate resource levels to sustain world-class services.
- Evaluate roster effectiveness, modify as necessary, and escalate issues needing management intervention.
- Propose enhancements to improve productivity and efficiency across the Dubai Metro & Tram system.
- Prepare alternative roster arrangements for special events, emergency operations, and altered service patterns as required.
- Manage staff roster concerns to provide efficient duty schedules.
- Integrate mandatory training sessions for all shift workers into resource planning.
- Record and manage staff leave data, including annual, sick, and Days-in-lieu (DIL), within the Human Resource Integrated System.
- Safeguard information assets and data across electronic and physical formats.
- Participate in departmental meetings as needed.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities assigned by Senior Resource Planner and Planning & Systems Manager.
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with occasional travel; extended hours may be necessary depending on operational demands.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related field.
- 3 to 5 years industry experience within rail sector.
- At least 1 year of experience in Resource Planning and Workforce Allocation.
- At least 1 year experience as Data Analyst.
- Proficient in English.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel.
- Completed Workforce Resource Planning training.
