About the Role
Churches of Christ Residential Aged Care is seeking a compassionate, proactive Resident Experience Manager for their Ingham and Cardwell aged care homes in Queensland. This permanent full-time position encompasses leading non-clinical operations across two sites serving 98 residents, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment tailored to individual resident needs. The role requires regular travel between the two locations, approximately 40 minutes apart, with a pool car provided for commuting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an advocate for residents by understanding and addressing their needs to enhance their living experience.
- Lead and inspire the non-clinical teams including lifestyle coordinators, kitchen staff, cleaners, maintenance, and gardeners.
- Manage operations such as cleanliness, meal service, safety compliance, lifestyle activities, and facility maintenance.
- Oversee stock management, procurement, budgeting, and ensure adherence to safety and food standards.
- Handle resident concerns and complaints empathetically and professionally.
- Conduct regular audits of services and continuously seek improvements in resident satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is dedicated to making every resident feel valued and respected, with a knack for continuous improvement and problem-solving. They have a strong customer-first approach fueled by compassion and innovation and possess leadership experience preferably in hospitality, aged care, or customer service sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities managing multiple teams and priorities confidently.
- Experience in food preparation and ordering within large aged care or equivalent environments.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to acquire.
- Full Australian work rights; sponsorship is not available for this role.
