About the Role
Join Lady Small Haven Aged Care as a Personal Care Worker in Benowa, Queensland, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of older Australians. This position involves delivering compassionate, hands-on support that enhances the residents' physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing, with a valued ability to assist during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-standard personal and emotional care including assistance with daily activities, mobility, meals, social engagement, and outings.
- Participate in the development and periodic review of individualized care plans, ensuring precise documentation and charting.
- Observe residents' health and wellbeing, promptly communicating any changes to nursing and care supervisors.
- Uphold residents’ dignity, privacy, and confidentiality consistently.
- Maintain a secure, hygienic, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
- Execute duties assigned by Registered and Enrolled Nurses.
- Collaborate effectively within a values-driven and supportive care team.
Essential Requirements
- Possession of Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience delivering direct care in an aged care setting.
- Proficient communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Intermediate proficiency with computer programs such as Outlook and internet-based systems.
- Ability to provide a National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
- Legal authorization to work in Australia; note no sponsorship is available for this role.
