Reservations Agent

Role Summary

The Reservations Agent will play a crucial role in supporting the Reservations Department's operations and assisting in meeting hotel sales objectives. This multifaceted position involves managing reservation processing, supporting hotel sales efforts, monitoring occupancy rates, preparing reports, ensuring guest service excellence, and adhering to operational regulations.

Work Arrangement

• The position is based in Doha, requiring on-site presence at the hotel.
• This is a full-time employment opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell hotel products and services using effective upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
• Handle reservation entries and updates via phone, fax, and email, including waitlisting and modifications.
• Investigate and properly document no-show cases and special billing for groups and conventions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on hotel offerings such as rates, promotions, and services.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Finance Managers concerning reservations needing credit approval.
• Track booking levels and provide timely updates on current and forecasted occupancy to management.
• Generate reservation-related reports for travel agencies, corporate clients, and sales teams.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and legal requirements regarding health, safety, fire protection, security, emergency response, and incident reporting.
• Report any accidents, hazards, security issues, or near misses to the relevant managerial personnel.
• Comply with all hotel rules including grooming standards, attendance requirements, code of conduct, and uphold company values.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of one year of current experience as a Reservations Agent in the hotel industry is mandatory.
• Must be available to work on-site in Doha.
• Strict adherence to hotel operational standards, safety protocols, attendance, grooming, and conduct policies is required.

Development and Support

Participate actively in training programs and self-development initiatives. Be willing to undertake additional tasks as directed by management to support and meet business objectives.
