About the Role
We are recruiting for a Relief Security Officer to work across various sites in Kent (covering areas from ME3 0AY to DA12 2QX). This position involves traveling between locations and working a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week that includes days, nights, and weekends. The pay rate is £13.45 per hour. Key Responsibilities
- Prevent unauthorized access and safeguard people and property at multiple sites.
- Monitor and respond to fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems as necessary.
- Conduct both internal and external security patrols in accordance with assignment instructions.
- Perform routine testing and maintenance on security equipment where applicable.
- Manage keys by carrying out locking and unlocking duties as specified.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and records.
- Issue visitor and contractor passes following site instructions.
- Provide guidance, support, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring premises security.
Professional Requirements
- Hold a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) license.
- Possess a valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Flexible availability to cover shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
- Right to work in the UK supported by a five-year checkable employment history.
- Demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, and flexibility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
