Job description

Role Overview

The Relief Dispenser will provide support across multiple stores within a designated geographical area, playing an important role within the pharmacy team. You will aid pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the accurate and safe provision of pharmacy and health services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions carefully, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting medication while ensuring patient safety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff in the store to assist managing and delivering pharmacy services effectively.
  • Advise patients on medicines and refer any complex health queries to the pharmacist.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure safe and lawful prescription dispensing.
  • Stay informed about new store innovations and follow operational procedures diligently.
  • Assist patients in managing their prescriptions and promoting medicine adherence to minimize waste.
  • Communicate with store teams consistently to maintain continuity of patient care.
  • Adapt to new in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes, improving patient safety and freeing more time to interact with patients.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel flexibly across a specified geographical area.
  • Valid UK right to work status (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working in community pharmacy is beneficial.

Additional Information

This role is UK-based only; remote applicants or those without UK qualifications and right to work will not be considered.
