Job description

Role Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser based in our store where you'll support pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering efficient and safe pharmacy and healthcare services. You will engage with patients, dispensing prescriptions, providing advice on medicines, and ensuring customer well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions safely including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection management.
  • Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services efficiently.
  • Offer care and recommendations to patients regarding medicines, referring queries to the Pharmacist when necessary.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures ensuring legal compliance in prescription dispensing.
  • Stay updated with in-store innovations and follow operational procedures.
  • Support patients in managing prescriptions through reliable repeats and promote medication adherence and waste reduction.
  • Engage with evolving technologies to enhance dispensing processes and increase patient interaction.

Required Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Must have completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or be progressing with an MPharm degree having completed the first year.
  • Possess current and valid UK right to work; Sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not available for this role.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
