Your interaction with patients will be vital in understanding their needs and offering informed advice about medicines and health.

Key Duties

  • Accurately dispensing prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply and handling of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals in the store to help manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
  • Providing patients with expert advice on medicines and directing complex queries to the pharmacist as necessary.
  • Adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support the legal and safe dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Keeping current with new in-store innovations and fully complying with operational processes.
  • Helping patients efficiently manage prescription repeats and medicines to promote adherence and minimize waste.
  • Utilizing improving technologies and systems within the store to enhance dispensing safety and maximize patient engagement time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or an equivalent, or be in progress with at least the first year of an MPharm degree.
  • Must have valid UK work authorization; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not available for this role.
  • Previous community pharmacy experience is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rates starting at £13.92, rising to £16.64 in select London locations.
  • Generous staff discounts available.
  • Discretionary Christmas gift payments.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave pay including gift cards for expecting or adopting parents.
  • Flexible benefits programs to accommodate personal needs.
  • Access to a confidential, 24/7 counselling service through an Employee Assistance Programme.
