About the Role
We are searching for a seasoned Enterprise Release Engineering Architect to establish and spearhead our Release Management capability. This position entails formulating the enterprise-wide release strategy, governance, processes, and automation, as well as constructing a high-performing team focused on delivering consistent, secure, and dependable software releases across diverse applications, platforms, and cloud infrastructures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and deploy a comprehensive Release Management strategy, standards, and governance applicable across the enterprise.
- Develop and lead the Release Management Office (RMO), including supervision of Release Managers and Coordinators.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage enterprise-level releases spanning various applications and environments.
- Drive release preparedness, including Go/No-Go decisions, deployment scheduling, and rollback plans.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Security, Quality Assurance, and Business units to ensure releases succeed.
- Set release Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), create dashboards and reports, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Promote automation in CI/CD pipelines and champion DevSecOps practices.
- Oversee management of release risks, dependencies, compliance standards, and maintain production stability.
Required Experience
- At least 18 years in Enterprise IT environments.
- A minimum of 5 years leading Enterprise Release Management operations.
- Proven track record of building Release Management capabilities from inception.
- Experience directing large-scale releases involving multiple applications.
- Familiarity with managing teams distributed across different geographic locations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication skills.
- Background in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance sectors is advantageous.
Technical Expertise
- Enterprise Release Management methodologies.
- DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Environment and Change Management practices.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Git.
- Proficiency in Release Automation and Deployment Orchestration.
- Mandatory experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization platforms.
- Deployment strategies such as Blue-Green and Canary, including rollback procedures.
- Familiarity with repository managers like Nexus or Artifactory and monitoring/observability platforms.
