Anaplan Solution Architect

About the Role

A specialized consulting firm focused on digital and operational transformation within Asset & Wealth Management, Alternative Investments, and Insurance is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join the expanding Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice. This team delivers advanced solutions across leading platforms such as Anaplan and other contemporary EPM technologies.

The role is senior, technical, and client-facing, tasked with steering EPM solution design and delivery. Responsibilities include shaping architectural strategies, supporting agile model-building teams, and serving as the main technical liaison for clients. The position is based in the Middle East, available at Manager or Senior Manager level.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pre-sales efforts by creating and demonstrating platform presentations.
• Collaborate closely with model-building and technical teams to develop tailored solutions.
• Build strong expertise of EPM platforms and sector-specific accelerator models.
• Lead client discovery sessions to analyze existing workflows, systems, and data movements.
• Record business and functional requirements comprehensively.
• Create diagrams depicting current and future operational processes.
• Recognize integration points and evaluate alignment with wider enterprise systems.
• Spot scope risks early and communicate them effectively to project and client teams.
• Convert functional requirements into detailed technical plans and sprint roadmaps.
• Design and document future-state operational models integrating new data, processes, and workflows within the EPM solution.
• Offer practical solutions when client needs and platform capabilities differ.
• Oversee requirements gathering throughout project delivery.
• Maintain user stories and requirements in agile project management tools.
• Assess current systems for process improvement and integration opportunities.
• Engage directly with clients from discovery through deployment phases.
• Prepare and deliver updates, sprint reviews, integration reports, and demonstrations to stakeholders.
• Manage evolving requirements and collaborate with project managers for prioritization and re-planning.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a university degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Certification as an Anaplan Solution Architect.
• Minimum of five years' experience delivering or managing Anaplan solutions, preferably in Finance or EPM internal teams.
• Strong consultancy background with exposure to complex program management.
• Proven capability in requirements gathering, documentation, and scoping projects.
• Experience in financial modelling, especially in Private Markets, Asset Management, or Insurance, is advantageous.

Technical Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of Anaplan including advanced concepts, model design best practices, and integration techniques.
• Proficiency in Excel modelling.
• Familiarity with additional EPM and Finance systems is a plus.
• Experience with process mapping tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
• Working knowledge of agile project management software such as JIRA.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, notably PowerPoint and Word.

• Confident presenting to diverse audiences including business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
