Job Overview
The Relationship Manager (Assets) in Business Banking is responsible for generating new business by acquiring client relationships through Relationship Officers, upgrading mass-segment clients, and expanding existing accounts. The role demands meeting targets across assets and cross-selling revenues, ensuring superior service standards, customer satisfaction, and strict adherence to UAE Central Bank and anti-money laundering regulations.
Primary Duties
- Achieve annual business objectives, including revenue, profit, asset and deposit growth, customer acquisition, and cross-selling, while guiding Relationship Officers in identifying sales opportunities.
- Develop and grow accounts sourced by Relationship Officers into profitable business, enhancing market penetration and asset & revenue portfolios, alongside offering prompt advisory on Trade & Treasury products.
- Maintain minimal turnaround times with service excellence, demonstrate solid knowledge of SME banking, assist clients on trade, asset, insurance, and investment matters, and consistently monitor client satisfaction and maintain service quality.
- Comply fully with operational risk, credit, sales, and anti-mis-selling policies; keep KYC and client profiles current with utmost confidentiality; evaluate customer risk and product suitability; uphold Emirates NBD’s reputation through best practices; document client meetings and assist in team reporting; strictly follow credit lending, anti-money laundering, and KYC protocols, promptly reporting any suspicious activity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in banking, ideally as a Relationship Manager.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Solid understanding of banking operations.
- Strict adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
