Role Overview

The Relationship Associate plays a vital role in supporting Relationship Managers by simplifying banking processes and delivering tailored customer solutions. This includes performing financial analyses and assisting with lending for specific customer groups. The position is suited for emerging professionals eager to develop credit and client relationship skills with prospects of advancing to Relationship Manager roles.

Location: Te Kuiti or Te Awamutu, Waikato, New Zealand

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Main Responsibilities

• Engage attentively with customers to better understand their businesses and service needs.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Senior Managers, and product teams to craft and implement suitable customer-centric solutions and address concerns effectively.
• Support financial data analysis and interpret customer information to facilitate accurate credit decisions consistently.
• Help expand and maintain the customer base by nurturing strong relationships and delivering insightful banking product solutions that contribute to customer success.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience fostering strong client relationships in customer service or related roles.
• Robust analytical skills to evaluate and interpret financial trends and implications.
• A tertiary qualification in finance or relevant lending experience.
• Knowledge of structuring security arrangements within lending contexts.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is preferred.

The ideal candidate does not need to fulfill all criteria but should possess most of the skills and demonstrate a growth mindset, which is integral to ANZ's culture.
