Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Royston Hospital, Hastings, you will deliver outstanding patient care within our Specialist Ward team. Your responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients while identifying potential medical issues. You will provide appropriate treatments, therapies, and interventions, coordinating closely with medical colleagues to arrange necessary investigations and equipment.

Maintaining patient safety and dignity is paramount, which involves managing risks related to treatments, procedures, infection control, positioning, and restraint procedures. All nursing practices must adhere to the professional code of conduct and nursing body standards.

There are two casual nursing roles available at Royston Hospital in Hawke's Bay.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current New Zealand Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse

  • Compassionate approach towards patient and family support
