Recreation Experience Expert

Overview

This role serves as the primary contact for all recreational activities offered on the property, providing guests with detailed information about available amenities such as pools, beach access, entertainment zones including game rooms, fitness centers, and children's activity areas. The expert actively encourages and manages guest participation by recruiting, registering, and scheduling recreation activities, fostering an enjoyable and relaxed environment.

Duties

• Inform guests about recreation facilities and encourage involvement.
• Promote a safe and fun atmosphere by enforcing rules and regulations.
• Monitor activities and respond appropriately during emergencies following local protocols.
• Handle cashier tasks where recreation includes point of sale transactions.
• Assist in organizing and supporting private group events in recreational spaces.
• Identify situations where guests may be unfit to participate safely and escalate to supervisors.
• Provide immediate aid to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly to management; participate in safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Welcome guests warmly, anticipate and address their needs, including those with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in person and via telephone.
• Build positive relationships to help meet shared goals within the team.
• Process payments related to rentals, activities, facility use, or retail sales.
• Ensure quality assurance standards are met.
• Perform detailed inspections of tools, equipment, and maintain accurate records using computers or POS systems.
• Fulfill physical demands such as standing or walking for long periods, lifting objects up to 25 pounds solo or more with assistance, maneuvering in confined spaces, and engaging in movements like bending and twisting.
• Carry out other reasonable tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Certification or training for recreation equipment as required by local authorities.
• No prior related or supervisory experience required.
