Recreation Attendant

About the Role

The Recreation Attendant position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, part of Minor Hotels' extensive global portfolio spanning over 530 properties worldwide. This role focuses on delivering warm, personalized, and locally authentic service to guests enjoying the resort's recreational facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage proactively with guests to assist with their needs such as providing towels, setting up chaise lounges and cabanas.
• Regularly clear used towels and debris from pool deck areas to maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
• Create unique guest experiences by offering attentive, personalized service within a luxury and fast-paced environment.
• Ensure every guest has a positive first impression of the pool area by maintaining cleanliness, arranging setups, and managing ambiance.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all wellness and recreation amenities, activities, and hotel services.
• Promote and upsell wellness and recreation packages to enhance revenue generation.
• Carry out opening and closing duties related to the pool area according to established standards and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to hotel fire, life safety, and emergency protocols.
• Uphold excellent personal grooming and hygiene standards at all times.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned by hotel management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum one year of experience as a recreation attendant.
• Strong customer service skills with a guest-oriented approach.
• Basic knowledge of recreational equipment and facility operations.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Basic understanding of first aid and emergency response procedures.
• Readiness to undertake any tasks delegated by the department manager.
