Job Overview
The RCU Executive role involves comprehensive responsibilities centered around verification, fraud detection, process compliance, and coordination to ensure accuracy and integrity in loan processing and documentation.
Core Responsibilities
- Validate original KYC and loan-related documents, ensuring their authenticity and identifying any discrepancies or alterations.
- Perform sampling checks both before and after loan disbursement to maintain process integrity.
- Conduct on-site visits to customer residences, business locations, and transaction points for identity, address, employment/business verification, and loan purpose assessment.
- In purchase-related transactions, verify the seller's identity and the details surrounding the transaction.
- Detect and investigate suspicious loan applications, forged documents, duplicate entries, and unusual patterns, escalating significant issues to relevant teams as necessary.
- Support specialized and impromptu fraud investigations alongside ongoing fraud detection duties.
- Monitor and verify compliance with company policies and SOPs within branches and business units, highlighting any deviations or control weaknesses.
- Assist internal audits, compliance checks, and risk control reviews to uphold operational standards.
- Conduct verification calls to customers to corroborate submitted application information, documenting feedback and investigating any inconsistencies.
- Maintain comprehensive registers and records related to RCU activities, ensuring accurate documentation of findings and escalations.
- Generate periodic MIS reports on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to track operational performance and issues.
- Liaise effectively with multiple internal teams such as Credit, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Audit, IT, and Branches to communicate findings and ensure resolution of issues.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Strong communication capabilities and investigative skills for thorough document and customer verification.
- Exceptional attention to detail to capture discrepancies and anomalies during document checks and investigations.
- Knowledgeable in KYC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols, fraud identification indicators, and loan application processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting techniques to maintain and present data effectively.
- Able to perform field visits and conduct on-ground verifications as part of the routine verification process.
- Analytical mindset combined with problem-solving skills to evaluate findings and initiate corrective actions.
- Flexible and willing to travel as the role demands.
