Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position for a Quantity Surveyor in Accra involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and assisting with cost planning for new and ongoing residential projects. The role focuses on cost monitoring, variation tracking, and generating detailed reports to ensure adherence to budget and financial goals.
The Quantity Surveyor will work alongside project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors, providing precise cost estimates, supporting value engineering, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Responsibilities extend to budgeting, forecasting, procurement input, and ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable Ghanaian regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in BOQ preparation, interpreting drawings, and understanding specifications.
- Proven ability in cost planning and management throughout all phases of construction projects.
- Experience monitoring costs, controlling budgets, handling variations, and producing financial reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, tendering processes, and local Ghanaian building codes.
- Competence in using quantity surveying software and spreadsheet tools for measurements and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills combined with high attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Effective communication capabilities and teamwork orientation, with capacity to manage multiple tasks on-site.
- Background in residential or real estate development projects is an advantage.
