Role Overview
This full-time Quantity Surveyor role, located in Singapore, offers a hybrid working model combining on-site presence with some remote work flexibility. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and scrutinizing Bills of Quantities, cost plans, and tender documentation specifically for retail design and fit-out projects. Key duties include controlling project budgets, enforcing cost control strategies, and routinely reporting financial status to project managers and stakeholders. Additionally, this position entails reviewing supplier quotations, negotiating contract terms, and evaluating change orders and progress payments. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with designers, project teams, and external collaborators to ensure projects stay within budget, uphold quality standards, and meet scheduled deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in cost management, including planning and controlling project budgets accurately.
- Competence in producing clear financial updates through cost control and reporting.
- Practical experience in preparing precise Bills of Quantities and measurements for tendering and construction phases.
- Possession of a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Background in interior fit-out, retail, or commercial projects within Singapore, with familiarity with local building codes and market pricing.
- Strong analytical capabilities, numeracy, negotiation aptitude, and meticulousness in documentation.
- Proficiency using MS Excel and specialized quantity surveying or cost estimation tools.
- Ability to collaborate within multifunctional teams and adapt comfortably to hybrid work settings.
