About the Role
We are recruiting for experienced Engineering Surveyors for permanent full-time positions within a respected Australian civil engineering contractor. The role offers both Perth metropolitan-based roles and FIFO positions on 2:1 and 2:2 rosters, with site uplifts up to 30% depending on the project. These positions contribute to major defence, infrastructure, resources, and energy sector projects in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field surveys, including setting out, measuring elevations, and alignment verification.
- Analyze and interpret engineering blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Operate and maintain advanced surveying instruments such as GPS devices, total stations, and laser scanners.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, and site teams to ensure construction precision.
- Compile survey reports, documentation, and prepare as-built drawings.
- Ensure all surveying tasks comply with project standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
- Support planning activities, conduct risk assessments, and resolve survey-related onsite challenges.
- Maintain meticulous survey records and deliver data within the scheduled timelines.
Candidate Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering Surveying, preferably in civil, infrastructure, mining, or resources industries within Western Australia.
- Proficient in utilizing GPS, total stations, and contemporary surveying technology.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Experienced with survey software and data processing applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
- Prior FIFO experience is highly advantageous for FIFO roles.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet pre-employment medical standards.
- Eligibility to work in Australia without restriction.
