Qualifications and Skills Required
- Possession of a PhD or comparable advanced degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, electrical engineering, computer science, operations research, economics, or a related field
- Strong theoretical foundation in probability and statistics, essential for modeling financial problems
- Proven experience in handling and analyzing large datasets
- Capability in constructing statistical forecasting models that affect real-time market problem solving and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages
- A creative mindset with a drive to challenge conventional methods and devise innovative solutions
- Skill in writing clean, efficient code, with a preference for Python
- Previous finance sector experience is not mandatory, but a keen enthusiasm for applying quantitative research to impactful financial issues is vital
