Job Duties

• Receive and examine returned electronic consumer products such as mobile phones, graphics cards, and game consoles, evaluating both their physical appearance and functionality.
• Perform thorough checks of serial numbers/IMEI, cosmetics, function, accessories, and packaging according to standard operating procedures.
• Detect unauthorized disassembly, counterfeit items, component substitutions, missing parts, or other irregularities, assessing the risks these pose.
• Carry out advanced disassembly and technical performance tests on abnormal items; assist in authentication processes when needed.
• Maintain detailed records of inspection findings and evidence—including photographs and videos—in the tracking system.
• Sort products based on inspection results for actions such as restocking, refurbishment, second-hand grading, exception handling, or disposal.
• Compile common irregularity and substitution cases and aid in refining inspection standards, SOPs, and risk identification methods.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in inspecting or repairing electronics such as mobile phones, computer hardware, or gaming consoles; preference for candidates with over two years in relevant roles.
• Knowledge of the hardware architecture and operational functions of common consumer electronics, plus basic diagnostic techniques for faults.
• Strong capability to identify irregularities like unauthorized modifications, counterfeit products, or substitutions with solid problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience in product refurbishment, quality inspection, or assessing second-hand condition of electronics.
• Detail-focused and accountable with a strong commitment to precise data documentation and preservation of inspection evidence.
