Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical QA Tester who is passionate about delivering high-quality software products by rigorously testing applications to ensure they meet expected functionality, usability, performance, and quality benchmarks prior to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both manual and automated testing to verify software features and quality.
• Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to design relevant test scenarios.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases, scripts, and related documentation.
• Detect, document, and track software bugs and defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Reproduce issues and provide detailed reproduction steps and evidence for development teams.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, usability, exploratory, and compatibility testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices as needed.
• Validate bug fixes and confirm resolution of issues.
• Engage proactively with developers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to address defects.
• Maintain accurate records of test progress, results, and defect reports.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality updates effectively to involved parties.
• Assist in user acceptance testing and final release validation.
• Suggest improvements for testing methods, tools, and overall quality assurance procedures.
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of QA best practices and document management.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Solid grasp of software testing methodologies and quality assurance fundamentals.
• Exceptionally attentive to detail coupled with strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficient problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience crafting and executing structured test cases and scenarios.
• Ability to clearly identify, reproduce, and document software defects.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management software such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of software development life cycles and QA processes.
• Basic knowledge of API testing, databases, SQL, and web technologies is advantageous.
• Exposure to regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple testing tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with strong independence skills and able to thrive in remote work conditions.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Prior experience in QA/testing, software testing, or quality assurance roles is required.
• Hands-on experience in designing and executing manual test cases.
• Proficiency in documenting and tracking software defects rigorously.
• Practical knowledge of commonly used QA tools including Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Understanding the intricacies of testing web and software applications.
• Skilled in performing regression and functional testing.
• Good digital literacy and computer skills.
• Able to interpret requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Adept in managing priorities in a fast-paced environment while preserving high attention to detail.
• Skillful at clearly communicating technical concerns professionally.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and an appropriate home work setup for remote employment.
• Professional demeanor with a strong analytical mindset and commitment to quality.
• English language proficiency is essential for roles involving interaction with English-speaking teams or documentation.
