Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Dedicated Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician to join our team at the Boston Spa branch located at 190 High Street, LS23 6BT. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a 40-hour work week, focused on accurate and efficient dispensing and checking of prescription medicines.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- One-hour unpaid lunch break each day
Key Responsibilities
You will lead the dispensing operations by carefully dispensing and verifying prescription items, ensuring precision and compliance. Providing exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, offering friendly advice, and showcasing comprehensive product knowledge is essential. Coaching and supporting colleagues in delivering excellent customer service will also be part of your role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of the Accuracy Checking Course (ACT qualification)
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong customer relationships and teamwork
