Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accuracy Checker to join our Scarborough branch located at 1A Belgrave Crescent, YO11 1UB. This permanent role involves a 40-hour workweek with shifts from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, each including a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Qualified Accuracy Checker, you will play a vital role in enhancing pharmaceutical care by performing final safety checks on dispensed medicines and products pre-approved by a pharmacist. Your tasks include interpreting patient information, adhering to legal standards and information governance, and following standard operating procedures to ensure utmost accuracy and safety.
You'll also be expected to provide constructive feedback and identify error reduction opportunities to promote a culture of patient safety. Maintaining exemplary standards of customer service across the branch is essential.
Skills and Experience Requirements
The role demands a strong attention to detail and the ability to function effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. Building rapport with customers by understanding their needs, delivering knowledgeable advice, and ensuring superior product and service quality is essential. Additionally, you should be motivated to mentor colleagues within the branch.
Proof of completion of the Accuracy Checking Course (ACT Qualification) is mandatory, along with a commitment to renew certification biennially to stay authorized to execute final accuracy checks under the oversight of a Responsible Pharmacist.
