Role Overview

Joining our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, you will be essential in assisting pharmacists and other healthcare experts to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy treatments and healthcare assistance. This position is store-based in the UK; remote applications will not be entertained, nor will candidates without verified UK work eligibility and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while safeguarding the proper and secure supply of medicines through actions like ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the store to facilitate pharmacy service delivery and management.
• Offer patients knowledgeable advice on medications and refer complex queries to the pharmacist appropriately.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee lawful and secure dispensing practices.
• Stay informed on store innovations, aligning with operational protocols.
• Assist patients in managing prescriptions reliably to encourage adherence and minimize medicine waste.
• Utilize emerging in-store technologies that enhance dispensing efficiency and allow for increased patient engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 or equivalent is required, or candidates must have finished the first year of an MPharm degree.
• Valid UK right to work documentation is mandatory; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not provided for this position.

Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.

Training & Development

Regular training updates will be provided to expand your healthcare knowledge. There are ample advancement opportunities including potential progression into Pharmacy Technician roles or store leadership.
