QC Inspector - Instrumentation

Job Overview

As a QC Inspector specializing in Instrumentation, you will oversee the inspection of instrument installation, cabling, junction boxes, and control system setups to verify compliance with approved project drawings and specifications. Your role requires vigilant verification of work according to method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and company project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect instrumentation installations, ensuring effective adherence to project design and quality standards.
• Validate work executed against method statements, ITPs, and defined quality benchmarks.
• Supervise calibration activities, loop checks, and functional testing procedures of instruments.
• Compile detailed inspection reports while ensuring the maintenance of calibration certificates and comprehensive quality documentation.
• Detect and document non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and responsibly track corrective actions through to closure.
• Collaborate closely with site engineers, QA/QC managers, and subcontractors to address and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
• Enforce compliance with international and project-specific QA/QC standards such as ISO, IEC, and ASTM.
• Conduct inspections adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
• Bring a minimum of five years’ experience performing QA/QC inspections specifically in instrumentation-related tasks.
• Demonstrated strong familiarity with QA/QC workflows, ITP frameworks, and global standards including IEC, ISO, and ASTM.

Preferred Certifications

• Certification in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Credentials in Instrumentation Calibration and Testing.
• Valid project approvals issued by the Qatar government are highly desirable.
