Mechanical Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Doha, Qatar on a contract basis. This role involves the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of various mechanical systems and equipment commonly found in industrial and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain mechanical apparatus including pumps, motors, compressors, valves, and gearboxes.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform troubleshooting on faulty equipment.
• Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance to enhance the reliability and performance of machinery.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturers' documentation to guide service operations.
• Disassemble, assemble, and align mechanical components, ensuring proper lubrication and timely replacement when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and company safety policies during maintenance activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational qualification of ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience of between three to five years working as a Mechanical Technician in settings such as industrial plants, construction sites, manufacturing facilities, or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Practical knowledge in installation, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical devices.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, valves, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as gearboxes.
• Competence in interpreting technical drawings and proficient in using hand and power tools along with precision measuring devices.
• Strong understanding of scheduled maintenance procedures and compliance with workplace safety standards.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid Qatar ID (QID) who can join immediately.
