Position Overview
We are seeking a Python Quant Developer to join a prominent global quantitative investment firm, located in Singapore or Hong Kong. Candidates with a passion for developing robust quantitative technology, collaborating with researchers and portfolio managers, and supporting systematic investment approaches across diverse asset classes will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain Python-based quantitative research and trading platforms.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to facilitate systematic investment strategies.
- Create and upgrade data pipelines, infrastructure for research, analytics systems, and production applications.
- Participate actively in the architecture, coding, testing, and launch of scalable quantitative solutions.
- Enhance platform efficiency, stability, and automation through the investment process.
- Assist in incorporating new datasets, model frameworks, and trading procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in quantitative development, quantitative technology, or comparable positions.
- Proficient programming abilities in Python.
- Background in supporting quantitative research, systematic trading, or investment teams.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles including testing methodologies, version control, and maintaining code quality.
- Basic understanding of financial markets and quantitative investment methodologies.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities and strong interpersonal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systematic hedge funds, asset management, proprietary trading, investment banking, or quantitative investment groups.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed computing architectures, or processing of large datasets.
- Competence in databases, Linux operating systems, and data engineering tools.
- Evidence of collaboration with front-office personnel including researchers, traders, or portfolio managers.
