Python Developer – AI/Generative AI

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience, particularly in AI and Generative AI, to join our technology team based in Singapore. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in backend development using Python and practical expertise in building or integrating AI, machine learning, and large language model (LLM) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support scalable backend services with Python.
• Create RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop and incorporate AI and Generative AI components into software solutions.
• Work hands-on with large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Integrate AI and LLM APIs into enterprise-level applications.
• Build and manage data processing workflows and AI/ML pipelines.
• Produce high-quality, reusable, well-structured, and thoroughly tested code.
• Collaborate closely with product management, data scientists, and other engineering teams.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting application performance and reliability.
• Deploy applications using cloud services and implement modern DevOps methodologies.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience professionally developing with Python.
• Strong expertise in Python programming, object-oriented design, data structures, and API development.
• Proficiency with backend frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience creating RESTful APIs and backend service architectures.
• Practical knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI technologies.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and embeddings.
• Experience working with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• Knowledge of SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Good command of Git version control and software development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with AI/ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Understanding of MLOps or deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Experience designing microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with technologies like Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar systems.

Education

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline is required.
